RISE youth work

We deliver detached (street based) youth work to young people in Calne, Chippenham, Corsham, Royal Wootton Bassett, Cricklade, Purton and Malmesbury and youth clubs in Calne, Chippenham and Cricklade.

Detached youth work offers young people a safe space to talk and to receive immediate outreach at that time. Staff visit ‘hot spots’ this could be a park, car park or somewhere that young people are known to be. We offer a listening ear and signposting and can help fill out self-referrals. We also encourage games such as rounders and staff sometimes have treats to give out too.

Evening detached visits where times are not stated will be approximately 6.30pm-8.30pm but subject to change.

RISE youth clubs and safe space projects, offering a fun and engaging place for young people to be, all our activities are young person led and cover a informal youth work curriculum, these sessions are open access and all RISE sessions are free to attend.

RISE wellbeing sessions are a supportive youth session for young people who prefer a quieter environment, these sessions are tailored to support well-being and promote positive mental health and be a place to explore worries. This session is booking only to ensure that youth workers can really get to know and support the attending young people.
